ReplyDeleteSad, to say this, but if you have read the giver, then you have read this.
ReplyDeleteUnlike the humor in the giver though, this lacks it. Matched is filled with repetition, false poetry and detached writing.
Still, worth reading since it might get better with the next book.
Nothing in Nov or Dec has me excited, will have to go back to catch up on old books.
Vi- Really, you weren't a fan of Matched? I haven't read The Giver before (even though so many people have!) but I'm still really looking forward to reading Matched! :)
