The book cover for Finale, the fourth and final novel in the popular Hush, Hush saga by Becca Fitzpatrick, was revealed Wednesday morning on MTV's Hollywood Crush

 Release Date: October 23, 2012
Publisher: Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers

Summary (from Simon & Schuster Canada):
Nora is more certain than ever that she is in love with Patch. Fallen angel or no, he is the one for her. Her heritage and destiny may mean they are fated to be enemies, but there is no turning her back on him. Now Nora and Patch must gather their strength to face one last, perilous trial. Old enemies return, new enemies are made, and a friend's ultimate betrayal threatens the peace Patch and Nora so desperately want. The battle lines are drawn—but which sides are they on? And in the end, are there some obstacles even love can't conquer?

Becca Fitzpatrick has been very lucky to have such gorgeous cover art gracing all of her novels for the entire Hush, Hush saga, so I was very excited to finally see the cover revealed for Finale! Maybe because I had certain expectations, but I don't think this is my favourite cover in the series. I'm not sure how to really describe it, but there seems to be something missing from it...

The covers for Hush, Hush, Crescendo and Silence were very bold or stormy (or both!), and I loved the wings/feathers to go along with the fallen angel theme. While the cover for Finale is still very eye-catching and pretty, it just doesn't seem to capture that essence which I loved seeing in the previous ones. But maybe it's one of those covers which looks better seeing it in person?

What are your thoughts on the cover for Becca Fitzpatrick's Finale

  1. I still haven't read Silence, but I'm actually kind of disappointed with this cover. It seems ridiculously melodramatic, and more like a romance novel. At least it matches!

    1. Okay, I'm glad I'm not alone in thinking I was hoping for more. The previous covers were so intense, and I agree, this one seems to have of a romance-vibe to it. But yes! I'm so glad all of the covers have remained the same without any major changes!

  3. Hush, Hush is a series that I really enjoyed and so it was a no-brainer that I would read Finale. Even though Hush, Hush was originally meant to be a trilogy, I was happy that a 4th book was released. I really felt like Silence left so many loose ends and possibilities and so I picked up Finale.
