Mark Your Calendars Canadians! August Edition

To my fellow Canadians, are you ready to mark your calendars? Here are some upcoming bookish events to look forward to in August!

Kathy Reichs


Kathy Reichs, bestselling author of the Temperance Brennan series (the TV show Bones!), will be signing copies of her latest novel, Flash and Bones, in Toronto. Reichs is also the author of the YA series, Virals. The second novel in that series, Seizure, is set for release at the end of the month.
Lesley Livingston

Lesley Livingston, author of the Wondrous Strange trilogy and Once Every Never, has some events this month in Ontario as well!
  • Monday, August 8 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. ~ London Ontario Central Library as part of the London Book Fair: 251 Dundas St., London, ON. (You can also read Lesley's blog post about this event.)
  • Sunday, August 28 at 2 p.m. ~ Chapters Brampton: Market Hall, 52 Quarry Edge Drive, Brampton, ON.
Heather Brewer

Heather Brewer, author of The Chronicles of Vladamir Tod series, will signing alongside Lesley Livingston at the Chapters Brampton event on August 28! She'll be discussing the fifth novel in the series, Twelfth Grade Kills, and a book signing will follow. Just scroll above again if you need the exact location...

And to put it on your radar in case you didn't already know, Sarah Dessen will be in Toronto at the end of September! I'll be sure to include the exact date and location in the September edition... School will have started again by then, so I'm really hoping I'll still be able to attend her event!

    Chrystal and I are hoping to both be at the Kathy Reichs signing in Toronto!! I'm working on getting a ride down from PS and I think she's driving in from Kingston!!

    I begged for the day off at work and they said YES! So I will be there! :) I'm so excited because I love Kathy - I have all of her books (except the two newest - Spider Bones and Flash and Bones). I am super excited!

    I have the absolute worst luck ever! Isn't it a kick in the butt that I'm either working or out at a family event those days? *seethes with anger* No fair! I really want to meet Lesley and Kathy!
