In My Mailbox (29)
5:41 PMIn My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren where we share any new books or goodies we bought, received, borrowed, etc. during the week.
This week I got...
Won:
- ARC of My Unfair Godmother (My Fair Godmother #2) by Janette Rallison
Received for Review:
- ARC of Divergent (Divergent #1) by Veronica Roth
- Pride and Prejudice and Zombies (Pride and Prejudice and Zombies #1) by Jane Austen and Seth Grahame-Smith
- Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: Dawn of the Dreadfuls (Pride and Prejudice and Zombies prequel) by Steve Hockensmith
- Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: Dreadfully Ever After (Pride and Prejudice and Zombies #2) by Steve Hockensmith
Bought:
- Blindsight by Peter Watts
- Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro
- We'll Always Have Summer (Summer #3) by Jenny Han
And then, of course, when I learned that We'll Always Have Summer was out in stores early, I just had to buy it! I'll be sad to see the trilogy end but I also can't wait to see what's going to happen...
What about YOU? Any new reads/finds this week?
And as always... Happy Reading!

You got Divergent! I've been hearing great things about it so I hope you enjoy it! Enjoy your books!
ReplyDeleteNever Let Me Go was one of the best books that I have ever read. It's very touching and realistic. I love Pride and Prejudice and Zombies :) It was funny. I haven't read the others though. Anyway, happy reading :)
ReplyDeleteMy Unfair Godmother looks like a fun read. I don't think I've read any mash up books and the P&P ones look like a good one to start. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteDivergent! Hope you enjoy it! Looking forward to seeing what you thought about it! I love it's cover.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a cool course to be taking! I'm trying to decide right now where to go to university--U of T or UBC--and I've got no idea! You do go to U of T, right? (I seem to remember you saying that in some post some time back....) How do you like it? Would you recommend it to someone?
ReplyDeleteDivergent is a really gripping read – hope you set aside a good chunk of time to devour it in! Enjoy :D
ReplyDeleteI think I would hug 'Divergent' as well, haha. Can't wait to read it!!
ReplyDeleteThose are definitely some cool sounding books for a course. It'll be interesting to read THG from an academic perspective, I bet.
Nice loot!!
ReplyDelete:) I hope you like them all.
I kind of want to read the Unfair Godmother books :) so I'll be on the look out for your review
YAY for the Divergent. Most of book blogger post their review about that book. I hope I can also read your thought about that book. I think I have to get my own copy next month
ReplyDeleteI need to see what that 'Divergent' is about, I keep seeing it lately. I got a few books, one of'em I'm reading now is 'City of Bones' by Cassandra Clare and surprisingly its pretty good. :)
ReplyDeleteHopefully you enjoy your books. :)
Shaylene- I'm glad to hear you loved Never Let Me Go! Gives me a good feeling about it too!
ReplyDeleteEmily- Yup, I go to U of T! I can't really compare to UBC (University of British Columbia?) because I don't know anything about that school but U of T is one of the best schools in the country! Everyone pretty much complains about it though b/c of the large workload and exams that test you wayyyy above what you've actually learned... but you can't really get over the prestige of the school, you know? As for recommending it, it's really hard to say because it depends on the program you're interested in. Some schools might be better in that case then...
Danya- I'm definitely going to have to put time aside for it... or I'll probably end up staying up all night reading it....
Ashley- I think it's by interesting to read it from academic perspective too... although I'm kind of worried it might ruin the book for me if I'm thinking so hard about it, lol.
Alex- Yes! Definitely check out the Unfair Godmother books... I don't know how anyone can say they don't like the books! I've already started writing a review for My Unfair Godmother.... :)
Jessica- The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare is one of my absolute favourites! I don't find it entirely too surprising that you're enjoying them so much! ^.~
Everyone is loving the Summer series! :) I ordered the first one. Good IMM!
ReplyDeleteDIVERGENT! Raging with jealousy here XD
ReplyDeleteHere's my IMM
Nice IMM! I'm jealous of the Pride & Prejudice & Zombies series. ;)
ReplyDeleteDivergent sounds like a great read, as does Pride & Prejudice & Zombies. Before blogging I never heard of the Summer series but now I think I must check it out! Great mailbox!
ReplyDeleteMy boyfriend is currently trying to transfer into UBC! /random.
ReplyDeleteI've wanted to get the Pride and Prejudice and Zombies series forever. I'll have to come back and see your reviews!
