Even the love of her boyfriend, Xavier Woods, and her archangel siblings, Gabriel and Ivy, can’t keep the angel Bethany Church from being tricked into a motorcycle ride that ends up in Hell. There, Jake Thorn bargains for Beth’s release back to Earth. But what he asks of her will destroy her, and quite possibly her loved ones as well. Can he be trusted in this wager? And what does Jake have Xavier believing about Beth’s fate that may result in an act of betrayal that will leave Bethany – and readers – wondering if Xav is so good after all?
If you've read my review of Halo, the first novel in the series, in the past then you'll know that I wasn't exactly impressed with the novel... but oh my gosh, that never did stop me from falling in love with its cover! I've been looking forward to seeing the cover of Hades for awhile now to see how they could possibly top the beauty of the first one... and I think they've done a great job with this one! The darker colours give it such an edgier feel!
I'm also relieved as well because there had been an unofficial version floating around in the past and that one honestly horrified me... so I'm glad to see that this is the real one!
How do you like the cover?

I think the cover is pretty cool. I can see it really pulling people in to pick it up. I didn't read the first book because it didn't seem like the thing for me, but I've always liked the cover and this one is no different.
ReplyDeleteOH my...this one is SOOoo much better than the previous one that had been released. I was completely disgusted with that one, too, and was hoping it was some kind of hoax!
ReplyDeleteNow I can look at it without wincing. Thank goodness!
very right you are; this cover is way better than that fake one going around! thanks for sharing :)

The cover looks amazing! It actually made me reconsider picking this one up after all (Halo was a huge disappointment for me), but after reading the summary, I'm reminded of exactly how annoyed I was by Bethany. Sounds like she's going to do things without thinking yet again... *sigh*
ReplyDeletei thought that cover looks really cool but i kind of liked the other one a little bit better
