Release Date: May 10, 2011
Summary:
What Happened to Goodbye is about a high school senior who, after her parents’ divorce, has taken up the practice of assuming a new identity in each of the four towns she’s lived in.
That's the only description of the novel I could find so far, but isn't it enough to spark your interest? And it's by Sarah Dessen... so it's definitely bound to be good!
If you haven't read a novel by Sarah Dessen, you absolutely must read at least one. I've read five of her novels (own four), and I'm just waiting for the paperback of Along for the Ride to come out so I can buy that one too! If I had to pick, I would choose The Truth About Forever and This Lullaby as my favourites.
And any thoughts on the cover? I don't think it's my favourite one out of Dessen's novels, but I like how they've kept the soft colour scheme that her covers usually have!

I'm a big Sarah Dessen fan so can't wait to know more about this one too.
ReplyDeleteI like the basic concept of the cover and most everything about it except the font and placement of the title. I honestly thought it was an incomplete/first draft type of thing when I first saw it. Maybe it will look better in person (it probably will), but I, for one, am actually disappointed... you can't even really read the title!
ReplyDeleteI really need to get my bustled derriere in gear. I've been wanting to read some of Dessen's book, now seems like a great time.

ReplyDeleteAshley- I totally understand how you're feeling! When I first saw it, I wasn't exactly impressed, but I think it has grown on me!! I switched the pic to a better quality one that Sarah Dessen released on her blog, so hopefully that makes the title appear a little clearer....?
ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely cover. and I love that it goes well with her other recent covers. I like this style for her books.

Can't wait to read it.
Venice was gorgeous! I think it was my favorite part of Italy. What other countries in Western Europe did you visit? I really enjoyed my time in Switzerland (gorgeous scenery, even though it rained a lot when we were there) and Germany - so much history there!
