Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine spotlighting upcoming releases we're eagerly anticipating.

Release Date: October 23, 2012
Publisher: Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers

Summary (from Chapters/Indigo):
The truth about Mara Dyer’s dangerous and mysterious abilities continues to unravel in this gripping sequel to the thrilling The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer.

One week after Mara walked into a police station in Miami at the close of The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer, she has been committed to psychiatric treatment for what her parents believe was a mental breakdown. But what seems like a hallucination to everyone else is a chilling reality for Mara. Someone from her past has discovered her strange, deeply disturbing secret and that someone wants her to pay. But when no one believes the truth, Mara is totally helpless. The only person on her side is Noah Shaw, as sexy and handsome as he is loyal and cunning. Noah is the only person who can help Mara—as long as he doesn’t get himself killed in the process.

Michelle Hodkin's The Evolution of Mara Dyer is my 100th WoW pick. I've been participating in this meme since I first started blogging, so it's also an indication that I've been blogging for 100 weeks! Cool, right? To mark such an awesome number, I chose a novel that I consider among my top anticipated reads of the year!

If you still haven't read The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer, then you are seriously missing out! It's completely unpredictable and plays mind games in your head, making you question everything you thought you knew. And, oh yeah... it has NOAH SHAW.

I'm also so happy the cover art for the sequel is along the same vein of the first book! I'm pretty sure I can stare at the cover for The Evolution of Mara Dyer all day long...

Are you excited to see what will happen to Mara in the book? Do you have any theories about what will happen? I'd love to hear them.
